Case study
The Experiment LabSnacktrap
A cozy nocturnal heist built for Reddit's Devvit platform: a raccoon tiptoes across a dark kitchen grid toward a snack while hidden traps lurk. The room signals danger through the raccoon and lighting instead of numbers, and every board is authored by a real player, so playing is authoring.

Story · how this shipped
The brief
Design a Reddit game where the community is the content engine and no board can be unfair, so every player both plays and builds the next challenge.
The build
Built a proximity-signal heist on Devvit: safe steps telegraph the nearest trap through the raccoon and room lighting, greed mechanics reward pushing deeper, and a server-side solver rejects any layout that would force a guess before it can publish.
What shipped
Every run ends with the player authoring the next board, watched live by a ghost of a past solver. 141 tests. Server-validated solvable layouts keep the user-generated loop fair.
