The brief
I wanted one product across an API, a web dashboard and a mobile app, with four user roles (admin, dispatcher, carrier manager and driver) and live GPS updates.
The build
NestJS 11 with TypeORM, Redis, Socket.io for WebSockets, and JWT auth with refresh tokens. The web app is Next.js 16 and the mobile app is Expo. The cost side has vendor scorecards, regional price benchmarks and overpricing alerts.
